Alan and Danielle have been married for 18 years. He cheated, again. She drinks, but they hope to save their marriage by becoming Foster Parents. PLAYWRIGHT BIOGRAPHY: JARED KELNER
Jared Kelner is a trained actor in the Meisner, Strasberg, Adler, Hagen, Morris, Chekhov, Heller, Gallardo and Dusa techniques. He graduated from a performing arts high school and holds a BA in Theater Arts. Jared has appeared professionally on stage, TV and film. Jared ran his own acting school in California and has taught at the Playhouse Acting Academy in East Brunswick, NJ for 3 years. Jared is also the author of the book “LINE? The Creative Way for Actors to Quickly Memorize Monologues and Dialogues” which is sold at The Drama Bookshop in New York, at Samuel French in Hollywood and online at Amazon.com, Playscripts.com, Stageplays.com and a variety of other websites. Jared has delivered memory training seminars about the techniques in his book LINE? to over a thousand actors in NY & NJ.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY: GERRY APPEL
Gerry Appel has directed hundreds of plays and musicals at several Off Broadway and regional theatres. His acting and directing training took place at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, Circle in the Square Theatre School, Catholic University and Montclair State University. He has studied with Madeleine Thornton Sherwood (Broadway’s Original Cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Sweet Bird of Youth) and Nikos Psycharopoulos (longtime Artistic Director of Williamstown Theatre Festival). As Artistic Director of the Brook Arts Center, Gerry helped to draw such diverse talent as the American Repertory Ballet and the Amazing Kreskin while raising over $4 Million to convert this vaudeville theatre into an arts incubator. As a director and/or producer, Gerry has worked with Marc Shaiman, Christine Ebersol, Annie Golden, Jennifer Tilly, Paige Price and many others. Currently, Gerry is the owner/director of Playhouse Acting Academy, a Central New Jersey school for actors of all ages.
